Island Hopping on the Subtropical Archipelago of Dodecanese! Greece is a land of sumptuous olive groves, ancient civilizations and relaxed beach life. There are thousands of islands grouped into families with their individual traditions, culture, and landscape, with bases spread throughout the islands in the Aegean and Ionian seas. In this 7-day sailing itinerary, we take to Greeceââ¬â¢s Dodecanese islands to explore medieval castles, Byzantine iglesias, beaches and ancient archaeological sites.

Day 1
After checking into your home on the water in Kos, it's time to sail and explore the island of Kalymnos. This island is known for its sponge diving industry. This is a good time to souvenir shop for local sponges. If you're feeling adventurous, the island's steep landscape is popular with rock climbers. After a day of exploring, head back to Kos for a restful night's sleep.
Day 2
After breakfast on the second day of your sailing trip, set sail for Lakki Bay on the island of Leros. This sheltered bay was once home to the Italian Navy, and you can still see evidence of that history in the town's unique architecture. The area was revived a couple of decades ago and is now a popular spot for tourists. You can explore the town and visit the yacht club for dinner.
Day 3
Lipsi is a small Greek island that offers visitors a typical glimpse of the country's picturesque landscape. The island is dotted with white churches and domes, which stand out against the backdrop of the glittering cobalt seas and summer skies. Explore the island's charming coastline. Alternatively, head into Lipsi Port and Sokora Bay. There are also plenty of opportunities for swimming, sunbathing and enjoying the local cuisine.
Day 4
After breakfast, we'll set sail to Arki, one of the uninhabited islands in the area. We'll spend some time exploring the island, taking in the sights and sounds of this pristine natural environment. In the afternoon, we'll make our way to Port Augusta, where we'll have a chance to sample some of the local cuisines at one of the traditional tavernas.
Day 5
Today, we'll be sailing to the island of Patmos. This island is known for its rich spiritual history and is a popular destination for pilgrims from around the world. The Cave of Apocalypse, where the Book of Revelation is said to have been written by St. John, is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island. You can also visit the Monastery of St. John, which was founded in the 10th century and is still an active religious site today.
Day 6
On the last full day of adventure aboard your boat on this Greek island adventure, weââ¬â¢ll visit the fascinating Kastelli ruins on Kalymnos Island. This ruined Byzantine fortress offers breathtaking views out over the sea to the nearby island of Telendos. After exploring the ruins, take some time to enjoy the lovely coves along the coast before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the waterfront tavernas.
Day 7
After a week of exploring the Greek islands, it's time to head back to Kos and disembark, before saying goodbye to this beautiful country with a pocketful of memories you'll remember for years to come.
