Day 1

Check In, Ginowan Marina, Naha: Upon Arrival, you will check into the boat and attend a short briefing on the boat and charts.This is followed by a tour around the shopping district as well as supermarkets for provisioning. Provisioning can be arranged in advance so you don't have to spend time shopping. The boat will stay at Marina or alternatively you can proceed with a short sunset sail around the harbor on day 1.

Day 2

Nagannu / Zamami Shima: We depart from the Marina after breakfast and head to Nagannu. Famed for its beautiful white sand beaches as well as a popular snorkelling site. Its located only 12 miles from the Marina (approx. 2-3hr sail). We will anchor off the bay and you can proceed to go snorkeling / scuba diving (can be arranged with prior notice) as well as use the Dinghy to explore the bay. Lunch will be on the boat at theanchorage and we will then head towards Zamami. One of the best dive / snorkeling sites in Okinawa with great visibility. There are a couple of hotels / restaurants on the island which you can dine-in at if you do not wish to cook. Zamami is famous for Furuzamami Beach, Ama Beach and excellent year-round diving. There are over 40 places to stay, 10+ restaurants, 6 observatories, and 25+ beaches! It's also known as the first place U.S. troops landed in World War II

Day 3

Zamami / Aka / Geruma Shima: After spending an evening at anchor stargazing into the beautiful Okinawa night sky, we will depart Zamami Bay after lunch and sail towards Aka and Geruma Shima. They are connected by a bridge and very close to Zamami. They are smaller islands, but still have a post office, medical clinic, and a couple of small stores. Aka's population is about 300 and Geruma's about 60. There is a road across Aka leading to many observatories. There is also a road across Geruma to the village, then across a bridge to the airport and an observatory on Fukaji island. These two islands are also unique for holding a population of Kerama deer, which were imported from Kyushu 400+ years ago. If you're out in the village in the morning or evening you'll have a good chance of seeing them!

Day 4

Day 4/5, Kumejima: We will depart after breakfast at Aka to Kumejima. Kume Island is often said to be one of the most beautiful of the Okinawa Islands. It is well known for its textiles, called Kumejima-tsumugi which are designated as an important intangible cultural property of Japan.The town is also known for its Kumesen Awamori (Okinawan sake) and deep sea water. Kumejima's main industries are sugar cane (sato-kibi), and deep seawater products.Historically due to Kume's abundance of freshwater, rice was once extensively cultivated. During the time of the Ryukyu Kingdom, Kume Island was often visited by Chinese envoys called "sapposhi" on their way to Shuri Castle on Okinawa Island. When the Ryukyu Kingdom was annexed by Japan, many noble families moved from Shuri to Kume. While there, be sure to visit Uezu House which is a traditional Ryukyuan Governor's house dating back hundreds of years. The walled grounds contain gardens, a main house, and outlying buildings. The house is a quiet and peaceful look back into the history of Okinawa. We will also cruse to Hatenohama which is a narrow 7-kilometer long beach along the east side of Kume Island. The beach is surrounded by pure-white sand and an emerald green ocean as far as the eye can see. The contrast between the white and azure is said to be the most beautiful in the East, and the beach is most suitably called a tropical paradise.

Day 5

Day 6

Aguni Shima: Aguni Island is located approximately 60 km northwest of Naha, Okinawa. The chalky white walls of volcanic rock that stand on the island serve as a reminder of its history as a volcanic island many tens of thousands of years ago and are but one of the attractions that can be seen only here among the remote Okinawan islands. âAguni Saltâ, is made in the northern part of the island, and you can take a factory tour during our stop over here. https://vimeo.com/187813839

Day 7

Ginowan Marina, Naha City: We set sail back for the marina after a leisurely breakfast on the boat. Spend the afternoon visiting Shuri Castle and check out the numerous bars and restaurants in the city. Sing to popular local tunes accompanied by the Sanshin (local Okinawan string instrument).
