Day 1
The first day of the cruise is always an exciting one. Youââ¬â¢ll board the ship at 3:30pm from Marmaris Port. If everything goes according to plan, we will start the cruise at around 4pm and the first stop will be Paradise Bay or Turunc Bay for the first swimming. Here, you can take a dip in the clear turquoise waters or simply enjoy the landscape from the comfort of the ship. If time allows, we can cruise to Rhodes. While this may only be the first day of the cruise, it's sure to be a memorable one. There's so much to see and do in the Saronic Gulf, and you're only just beginning your journey.
Day 2
On the second day of the cruise, Saronic Gulf will be on the itinerary. While you enjoy a delicious breakfast, youââ¬â¢ll be informed about the cruise programme. Afterwards, the captain will set sail for the Arabian Peninsula. In this historical city of Bozukkale, thereââ¬â¢s a castle which stretches out in a rectangle with its city walls and 9 temples. The name Bozukkale means 'crooked castle', associated with the fact that one side of the castle is missing; ask the crew about it! However, despite its name, the castle is still an impressive sight. Because of its geographical situation and the narrow port entrance, Bozukkale was also used by the Greek navy forces during various wars throughout history. Karor, the Commander of Atina, gathered all his ships here before the Cnidus War in 395 B.C., and Demetrios; the son of Antigonos, used this port for the preparations before attacking Rhodes in 305 B.C. Consequently, Bozukkale has an interesting past which makes it a great place to explore. Overnight in Bozukkale.
Day 3
On the third day of our adventure, we will be anchoring in Dirsekbuku before setting sail for Bozburun. Bozburun is a small fishing town that was once popular for sponge-diving. However, the islanders have since lost interest in sponge-diving as itââ¬â¢s no longer seen as worth the risk. In recent years, sponge-diving has been replaced by gulet tourism and Bozburun Gulets are now at the forefront of this industry. From here, weââ¬â¢ll continue to explore the coast and enjoy all that the Turkish Riviera has to offer.
Day 4
Our first stop today is Bencik Bay. This pretty bay is located at the narrowest part of the peninsula, the one that divides Hisaronu Gulf from the Gokova Gulf, although itââ¬â¢s closer to Hisaronu. The entrance to Bencik Bay is very narrow but once you get inside, you are greeted by a unique view. Legend says that in 550s B.C., the Cnidus people wanted to dig a tunnel in the narrowest land piece of the peninsula, and this was between the Hisaronu Gulf and the Gokova Gulf as a defence line against the Persians at that time. All that so that theyââ¬â¢d make two peninsulas and one island so the defence of the place would be stronger. They started with diligence and put in a lot of effort, however, in the end, they couldnââ¬â¢t manage and the city was conquered by the Persians. We sail to Datca to have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5
Day 5 promises to be an exciting journey as we cruise towards the first stop of your Greek island adventure. You'll begin to see the shore side of Symi. Its neo-classical houses and peripheral districts are a sight to behold. What you'll really fall in love with though is the island's pine and oak forests and its unique bays. You'll have plenty of time to explore all that Symi has to offer, so go ahead and wander around, take in the sounds and sights of this beautiful place.
Day 6
Sailing to Rhodes early in the morning, travellers are met with the sight of the largest of the Dodecanese Islands. A very popular holiday destination, Rhodes boasts one of the best-protected and largest European Medieval cities, as well as warm weather for nearly 300 days out of the year. The island has been home to many civilizations over time, including the knights of St.John in the Middle Ages, Ottomans and Italians. As a result, Rhodes boasts a unique historical harmony between these cultures which can be seen throughout the island's beauty. The main port and city of Rhodes are where travellers will first set foot on the island. However, other touristic areas such as Lyndos and Kamiros should not be missed. The city provides travellers with a feeling of stepping back in time to Medieval times, especially when strolling through its narrow and ancient streets. Surrounded by 12-meter-thick city walls, visitors will be amazed by all that Rhodes has to offer.
Day 7
On day 7 of our cruise, weââ¬â¢ll check in through the customs office in Marmaris. After that, we will have a break for lunch and for a swim on Cennet Island. Later, weââ¬â¢ll anchor at Marmaris Harbour for dinner and an overnight stay. " "Marmaris is a beautiful town that definitely warrants further exploration. Weââ¬â¢ll leave the boat by 10:30am after breakfast so fully enjoy everything this day has to offer. The streets are lined with quaint cafes and shops, and there are plenty of activities that you can do in case of having some extra time or your flight is later. "
