Day 1
Scopello We'll start our journey in Scopello, a small town located in the province of Trapani. Over the millennia, the wind and sea have been sculpting dramatic steep cliffs and sea stacks across the coastline of Scopello. This village is home to a beautiful natural reserve thatââ¬â¢s perfect for hiking, swimming and relaxing. The tonnara, a tuna fishery established in the 13th century located in a small bay among all the beauty of Scopello, is also worth a visit.
Day 2
San Vito Lo Capo Our next stop is San Vito Lo Capo. This municipality is located on the northwest coast of Sicily and is home to a beautiful sandy beach that stretches for over 2 kilometers, a magnificent spectacle of nature that builds to the Zingaro Reserve. At every step, not only will the landscape and sea in San Vito Lo Capo entice you, so will its tradition, art and history.
Day 3
Trapani After a relaxing day in San Vito Lo Capo, we'll arrive in Trapani. This city is located on the west coast of Sicily and is known for its beautiful architecture and stunning views. The city is also known as the ""City of the Two Seas,"" owing to its location on two seas: Trryhenian and Mediterranean seas. The Tower of Ligny and Lazzaretto is one of its prominent features. Amongst the attractions in the city, you can pay a visit to the Basilica - Sanctuary dell'Annunziata, the cityââ¬â¢s main architectural landmark, and the 17th century Cathedral of San Lorenzo.
Day 4
Favignana Continuing our journey across the Mediterranean sea, our next stop is the Island of Favignana. This small island is part of the Egadi Islands archipelago and is known for its crystal clear waters and beautiful beaches. Favignana or La Farfalla, owing to its butterfly form, is the largest and most important of the islands. One of the notable beaches that we can visit is Cala Rossa, which is also one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily.
Day 5
Levanzo Our next destination is the tiny island of Levanzo, which is part of the Aegadian Islands archipelago. This island, which is the smallest amongst the 5 Egadis, is home to some of the most beautiful caves in Sicily. The Grotta del Genovese is one such cave, which features amazing stalactite and stalagmite formations.
Day 6
Marettimo Our journey comes to an end on the island of Marettimo, the most remote of the Egadi Islands and located over 15 miles from Trapani's coast. Both in terms of its marine, wildlife and mountainous interior, this island is exceptionally untouched. The breathtaking scenery of this region is matched only by the splendour of its natural wonders. Dramatic limestone cliffs plunge into the cobalt-blue sea, and there are many stunning views to take in that makes it perfect for water sport activities. Alternatively, hike on the mountain trails that provide fantastic excursions to the area.
