Kalamaki On your way to the Saronic Gulf, be welcomed by the idyllic atmosphere of Greece. Your first stop is the island of Kalamaki. This small island is perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean sun. In the afternoon, we'll set sail for our next destination: the island of Methana.
Day 2
Vathy Arriving on the peninsula of Methana, you'll be able to admire the majestic view of its two steep volcanoes. Our main destination for today is the island of Vathy, well known for its amazing beaches and crystal-clear waters. During your free time on the island, we recommend taking a dip in the hot natural springs that are found in the village of Vromolimni which are very popular with both locals and visitors to Methana.
Day 3
Hydra After a relaxing day on Vathy, we'll set sail for the island of Hydra. This island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece and it's easy to see why. With its picturesque streets lined with bougainvillea, traditional Greek architecture and stunning views, Hydra is truly a photographer's paradise. The town of Hydra is surely a beautiful example of 18th-century architecture with its neoclassical mansions and cobbled streets. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the island's museum, which will give you a taste of Hydra's glorious past.
Day 4
Spetses Welcome to the most cosmopolitan island of the Saronic Gulf: Spetses! This island is well known for its traditional architecture, stunning beaches and lush vegetation. The island has a rich maritime history dating back to the 18th century when it was a major centre of shipbuilding. The rich history and naval tradition of the island are reflected in numerous sites that are definitely worth visiting: The House of Bouboulina, The House of Hatzigiannis Mexis, Church of Panayia Armata, Cathedral of Ayios Nikolaos and many more!
Day 5
Poros Arriving at the island of Poros, you'll immediately be captivated by its natural beauty. With its clear waters and sandy beaches, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. Verdant Poros is small in size but it boasts all of the qualities found in the Greek islands of the Saronic Gulf. Poros is a very popular destination - and one of the best weekend getaways for the Athenians - for many reasons.
Day 6
Aegina Our final destination is the island of Aegina! This beautiful island is located in the Saronic Gulf and it's known for its stunning beaches and incredible archaeological sites. The most famous site on the island is the Temple of Aphaia, a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. The temple was built in 500 BC and it's one of the best-preserved examples of ancient Greek architecture. Other sites worth visiting on the island include the Archaeological Museum of Aegina, the Church of Agios Nektarios and the Monastery of Drosiani. We'll have plenty of time before we finally end our adventure, so be sure to enjoy every bit of the remaining time.
